Supporting the workshop – without ads

Hi everyone,

I don’t like advertising. I figure most of y’all don’t like it either. As such, I decided early on that I was not going to shove a bunch of advertisements into my YouTube videos unless I had no other choice.

Instead, here’s what I’m working on (Update: The most current version of this information can always be found on the Support page):

  • At the urging of some friends, I have started a Patreon campaign. Patreon allows you to make a recurring monthly donation that goes directly to content creators (like me). It allows me to give you my complete and honest opinion at all times, because I don’t have to worry about hurting the feelings of an advertiser.
  • I’ve also signed up with the Amazon.com affiliates program. If* you buy stuff from Amazon, you can use that link and I’ll get a percentage of whatever you bought. It costs you nothing and it helps me out.
  • You can donate to me directly using YouTube Fan Funding from my channel page. The link is on the right-hand side (it’s the blue button under the words “Support this Channel”).
  • I will likely feature small banner ads here on the website, but I promise to keep them unobtrusive and relevant. I know how annoying they can be.

I appreciate your support and encouragement and I look forward to making more videos in the very near future. This week I’m dealing with some behind-the-scenes work that will change this from a hobby into a Real Legitimate Business (TM), but I’ll be back to making videos soon. Very soon.

Work safe,

B.

*By “if,” I of course mean “when.”
